在這復活節期間，思想基督離世前的最後點滴，祂知道謎底會怎樣揭開，門徒卻懵然未覺將要發生的事情。基督知道對他們來說衝擊肯定很大，預先為他們做好心理建設。事發後想起祂所說的，便能印證這些話的真實，確信祂一直都在掌管，並帶給他們安慰，安撫他們以為失去耶穌的痛楚。
耶穌基督知道接下來要被抓、被釘上十架、受各種苦楚及至死亡，祂在臨別贈言中特別感動我的是這句：「我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裡來。」（約14:18）祂不是先緊張於快面臨的苦，而是關心我們的需要。好像「麻鷹捉雞仔」遊戲裡面，母雞保護小雞般，把我們照料好，叫我們不要害怕，並提示祂必活著回來。
祂離世後賜下聖靈，居住在我們裡面，我們便曉得我們是住在耶穌裡面，耶穌住在父神裡。如此，雖然我們肉眼不能看見耶穌，我們卻認識祂。並且透過祂的話，聖靈把一切事教導我們。耶穌的肉身不在，祂卻仍是活著！感謝主，祂沒有撇下我們為孤兒，祂每天與我們同在，作教導指引醫治，同經歷生命的高低起伏！

During this Easter, I am dwelling on the last moments of Jesus on Earth before His crucifixion. He knew how His Father’s plan would unfold, but His disciples were clueless. Hence with His parting speech at the last supper, He prepared the hearts of His disciples in advance, knowing that the drastic change could cause a great impact on them and their faith. These words must have brought tremendous comfort to the hearts of the disciples. By His words, they came to understand that Jesus was in control all along. It eased their mourning and disappointment from thinking that they had lost their Messiah. I was particularly moved by: "I will not leave you orphans, but I will come to you" (John 14:18) This is a clear indication that Jesus would come back to them alive.
By the Holy Spirit, we know that we now live in Jesus, and Jesus lives in our Father God. Although for the time being we cannot see Jesus physically, we know Him personally. Through His Word, the Holy Spirit teaches us all things. His word now makes sense to us and they lift us up daily. Praise the Lord! He did not leave us as orphans. He is with us daily. He teaches us, guides us and heals us from within. He walks with us in our ups and downs. He is alive!
