My Workplace
“The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [or toil adds nothing to it, for it comes as a blessing from God].” (Proverbs 10:22)
This is my small workplace at home where I do all my artworks. And yes, this is me (but in reality I don’t have purple hair!). I want to remind myself how blessed I am to have my passion as my career and as my way to serve God and others. Truthfully, I have many doubts and worries on this uncertain path. But God’s blessings shall add no sorrow but only true riches. They may not be financial riches, but I am experiencing inner riches, and I believe I will receive riches in heaven.
This is a digital painting on procreate where I practice quick drawing and painting without aiming for perfection and spending too much time on details. I was also playing with the colors and tried to limit myself to a few colors. I was hoping to finish it in a day or two, but in the end I took almost a week to complete. However, I will keep trying and hopefully will improve with the speed and quality overtime!

我的工作間 「耶和華所賜的福、使人(真正的)富足、並不加上憂慮 (或作並不加上勞苦愁煩, 因是神所賜的)。」(箴10:22 ) 這個是我家中的小工作間。無論是水彩畫、小手工還是電子繪圖, 大部分畫作都是在這張桌子上完成的。我想藉著這幅畫提醒自己, 能以自己所熱衷的興趣成為我的事業、榮耀神和服侍他人的管道是有福的! 的確, 我很容易擔心這個不穩定的行業, 很多事不是我能控制的, 而且我還是一個新手。可是神的恩典不會加上憂慮愁煩, 但只有真正的富足! 所謂的富足未必全然是金錢上的富足, 而是感到內心的滿足和我相信累積了在天上的富足! 雖然未必你們與我的行業未必相同, 但你們也有同感嗎? 或許你們是在教會裏服侍, 或在工作上做好榜樣見證神, 或在社區內服事有需要的人, 願你們都了解到神所賜的福, 滿有內心的豐盛, 且不添上憂慮愁煩! 這幅作品是用電子畫板繪畫的, 我嘗試練習速畫, 避免過於留意細節和過於完美主義。還有學習怎樣用顏色, 嘗試局限自己只用幾種顏色, 用的多數都是冷色系, 除了畫中主角(即是我)之外。我本來希望可以一兩天內完成，但最終差不多需要一週才畫完。不過我會繼續努力，希望於速度和質量上都持續地改善!
