人生好像一趟過山車， 時而驚險和可怕，亦有刺激和期待。我們只能看到前面短短的一 截，無法預知全部高低起伏，亦無法知道掉下來有多深、 衝力有多大。當中的迂迴曲折我們沒有話事權，上了過山車後並不能停下來，直至終點。人生中我們很多時候只能看見事情一點點地發展， 起承轉合無法看透。事情將遇喜或憂，我們亦無從得知。在順境，我們或許會懷疑，擔心什麼時候出亂子；在逆境，痛苦似乎沒有盡頭，盼望漸漸消逝。這樣，無論是高是低我們心總是懸著的，沒有平安。
Life is like a roller coaster. It can be so scary and risky, yet filled with excited anticipation. We cannot foresee the whole track or predict how steep the drops are. Once we are on the ride, we lose control of the path and have to keep going until the end. In life, oftentimes we can only see what’s right ahead of us, unaware of the twists and turns that await us. We can’t foresee how much good or bad we will experience along the way. When things are going well, we fear the good days won’t last. When difficult times come upon us, we lose our patience and our hope fades. Hence, we are always on edge, unable to find lasting peace.
基督坐在我們旁邊讓我們的人生不再一樣。祂當年在暴風雨中為門徒平靜風浪，現在他仍然在順境逆境中與我們同行。當我們在高位時是他將我們高升。當我們在傷心、孤獨和痛苦時，他仍然在拎扶。他安慰、輔導、教導、督責和醫治。感謝我們信實的主，祂應許永遠不會離棄，且在每一場仗當中在前面作元帥帶領。所以我可以說在任何景況中，只要基督與我一起我便不用懼怕，祂賜我簡單的安心和滿足。 我們可以安妥地全然放下自我掌控的權利，全盤交給主讓他導航。這樣，我們才得真正的喜樂和輕省。
But Christ is on the ride with me, and that makes all the difference. He was there to calm the seas when the storm was raging. He is still present today with you and me, whether things are easy or rough. When we are lifted to great heights, He is the one who exalted us. When we experience our lows with heart breaks, loneliness, and suffering, He is there to supports us. He comforts, counsels, teaches, and heals. Praise our faithful God who is here all along, who promised never to leave us nor forsake us. He goes ahead of us in every battle we face. In all circumstances, I shall not fear when Jesus is with me. When we surrender to Jesus our need to control, and let Him take the wheel, we will find true joy and security.
