「所以我們不喪膽．外體雖然毀壞、內心卻一天新似一天。我們這至暫至輕的苦楚、要為我們成就極重無比永遠的榮耀。原來我們不是顧念所見的、乃是顧念所不見的．因為所見的是暫時的、所不見的是永遠的。」哥林多後書4:16-18
這幾節經文在我最困難軟弱的時候支持著我。記得在媽媽病重的時候, 她仍然堅持相信神, 並用這段經文安慰鼓勵我們。她不怕死亡, 沒有恐懼, 常有盼望, 平安和堅強!
生老病死乃平常, 沒有人能逃避, 我們不用害怕。但最緊要最寶貴的是我們有永生的盼望, 生命沒有比和父神在耶穌基督裏透過聖靈建立一個親密的關係更為寶貴了! 唯有在我們內心的靈是永恆，永遠成長和靠主成為聖潔，願我們用一生去培植！

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
These few verses are so powerful and profound that they carried me through the darkest time of my life. I remember quoting them at my mom's funeral because she was very touched by it and used them to encourage and comfort us. She professed her faith in God by holding tight onto these verses and lived the short and incredibly difficult reminder of her life with joy, perserverence, hope and peace. As the 4th year since her passing is approaching in a week, this digital art makes me think of her.
Unlike this lady in front of the mirror, my mom passed away with naturally beautiful, black shining hair. But through this artwork I wish to deliver the fact that we shall have no fear or worries even at the point of death in this body on Earth. Our physical aging is inevitable and temporary, but it has no match in importance to the spiritual beauty within us, which can grow forever without dying! This is such a beautiful, striking truth to everyone who is heart-broken, weak, suffering and lost! Our growing relationship with the Father God in Christ through the Holy Spirit is the most precious thing we can ever own!
"Even to your old age, I will be the same, and I will bear you up when you turn gray. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will sustain you and deliver you." (Isaiah 46:4)
