A view above the Henry’s
As I was waiting for the elevator after an appointment, I saw this beautiful scene of Vancouver, and took a quick photo of it. I dare say my favorite scene of Vancouver was seen during my stay at the hospital at VGH. It was indescribably beautiful, but hey this is not bad either. I decide to play with the colors so they are certainly not accurate on this painting.
I thought of this verse to match with the painting. I have been trying to think what to paint for this verse, but this angle of this painting viewing from above downwards is perfect for it.
“God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand (or act wisely), any who seek God.” (Psalm 53:2)
This Psalm tells us that people turn corrupt and abandon God. It is hard to find anyone who does good at all. But God is watching from above and He knows the heart of man. It gives me assurance knowing that God is always present everywhere. He restores and takes care of those who seek and obey Him. He sees all the unjust and unfairness and pays vengeance with His righteousness, because we are the apple of His eye. We are not left to deal with it on our own.
Praise the Lord for there is no grey area in Him. He made known to us what He wanted from us: “To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) As long as we follow this wholeheartedly, we are on the right track. This certainty gives me peace.

溫哥華風景
在等電梯時我看到這漂亮的溫哥華風景便很快把它拍下來。奇妙地，最美的溫哥華風景是在病房窗口見到，但這個角度也不差！在這幅畫我決定不用原來看到的顏色，而是按自己的心意用顏色。
在繪畫的時候我想到了有關經文。之前已經想按著這段經文畫畫，卻想不到應該怎樣表達。現在這幅畫從上而下的角度剛剛配合我想要表達的聖經金句。
「神從天上垂看世人、要看有明白的沒有、有尋求他的沒有。」（詩 53：2）
這金句給我一個安心就是神每天都在察看，知道每人是否跟隨祂。我們所行的善都被記錄下來被祂記念，惡人所行的惡祂盡都知道，我們所受的冤屈祂也會按祂的公義為我們報應。
感謝神在祂裏面沒有灰色地帶，黑白分明，祂讓我們清楚知道祂要的是什麼。只要「我們行公義，好憐憫，存謙卑的心與祂同行」(彌6:8) 那我們就走在正路上。這個肯定讓我的心安穩。
