廣告太多！購物太多！Too many ads! Too much shopping!

因我的睡眠質素不太好，我時常有很清晰鮮明的夢境。 我特別喜歡做夢，因為比現實更彩色和刺激， 感覺好像去了異地旅行。夢境有趣之餘亦讓我有反思。

Since my sleep quality is not good, I have a lot of vivid dreams. I like dreaming because they are often more exciting than reality, and they help me reflect, sometimes spiritually.

應該是受復活節前的大齋期所影響，我當時盡量不要花錢買非必須品，發覺真是不容易，也在夢境中表現我的掙扎了。夢中我在一個將來的世界，找相機的app拍照， 但怎樣找都找不到，甚至要問Google這最基本的app在哪裡。廣告實在太多， 整個畫面都是廣告， 最後在一個非常隱蔽的地方才找到我需要的程式。

I had this dream during the time of lent before Easter, when I was trying to withhold from doing unnecessary shopping. It is not a restrictive rule to follow. But I happened to dream that in a future world, I was trying hard to find the camera app on my phone but I just could not find it. I had to ask Google where the most basic app is, because the commercials are taking all the space on the screen.

我反思自己是挺容易受購物和廣告的影響的， 平常在網絡上無論是在電郵，youtube, 社交媒體還是普通搜索一些東西都會看到廣告，令我覺得這個需要那個也需要。 我想起這句金句，「不要效法這個世界．只要心意更新而變化、叫你們察驗何為　神的善良、純全可喜悅的旨意。」（羅12：2） 究竟是什麼推動我和充滿我的腦袋呢？ 是聖靈還是廣告和潮流？ 我是否真的全心將身體獻上當作活祭，還是只有一部分的心思在神身上？ 雖然在世上的美物我們不是不能享受， 但同時也不要受它們的捆綁，受物慾所牽制。

After I woke up, I was surprised at the effect of shopping and ads on my mind and on my habits. I thought of the verse, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2) What is driving me and filling up my mind? Is it the Holy Spirit or worldly things that are not so important? Am I offering my mind and my whole being to God, or am I half devoted to God and half something else? We are not asked to refrain from all worldly leisure, but we shall not be restrained and controlled by it either.

「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上，地上有蟲子咬，能鏽壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。只要積攢財寶在天上，天上沒有蟲子咬，不能鏽壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。因為你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在哪裡。」（太6:19-21）

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
